Getting started

What can I create with Kruti?

Create professional announcements, social posts, invitations, product notices, quote graphics and multilingual greetings. Combine generated backgrounds with editable text, photos, collages, cards and drawings, then export the finished image.

Is Kruti free to use?

The current editor is free to use and does not require a paid subscription. Technical limits still apply to canvas size, layers, photos, imports and exports; free does not mean unlimited device memory.

Do I need an account to make a post?

No account is required for the current editor. Autosave and the saved-post library use storage in this browser, not an account that synchronizes work between devices.

Can I use Kruti for business and client work?

You can create business artwork, but you must have appropriate rights to the photos, fonts, logos and text you use. Check font embedding and redistribution permissions before sending editable files to a client.

Can I edit on a phone or tablet?

The editor has a mobile tool dock, a resizable properties panel and touch navigation. WebGL, browser storage and adequate device memory are required. Native sharing and some font behavior depend on the browser and operating system.

Does Kruti choose a finished template for me?

No. Kruti generates background artwork and provides tools for composing the post. You choose the message, photographs and hierarchy. Collage families arrange your existing photos; they are not complete prewritten post templates.

Backgrounds and colors

How does Kruti create unique backgrounds?

A fresh random seed drives procedural geometry and color choices. Flow uses a noise field; other themes vary shapes, positions, sizes and opacity. This creates a very large range of compositions rather than a small preset collection. It is not a proof that no visually similar image can ever exist.

Why do density and scale stay the same when I generate again?

Generate preserves the selected background's density, scale, flow and angle so you can explore new artwork in the same mood. Enable Randomize settings in the Style tab when those parameters should change as well.

Can I keep my brand colors while trying new patterns?

Yes. Enable Keep colors when generating. Palette locking is independent of Randomize settings, so you can preserve the colors while either keeping or changing the shape parameters.

Can one background mix different kinds of shapes?

Choose mixed to combine marks from every procedural family, including flowing ribbons. Alternatively, add independent background layers when you want separate control over each theme, its colors, opacity and order.

Can I layer a pattern over a gradient?

Yes. Use a gradient base and add a pattern overlay. Pattern overlays omit their base fill by default so the earlier background shows through. Adjust opacity or normal, multiply and screen blending in the Layer tab.

Am I restricted to the suggested colors?

No. Enter an exact custom color, browse fresh suggestions horizontally, or add and remove background palette entries. Background gradients can use several palette stops; text, card and drawing fills use two-color gradients.

Fonts, languages and text

Do I have to upload a font before adding text?

No. Kruti includes built-in stylish and multilingual font choices, plus device fonts. Upload is optional for a particular licensed typeface that is not already available.

Can I preview a font without changing my post?

Yes. Choosing a font opens a draft sample using your text. Apply commits the choice; Cancel leaves the previous font in place. Browsing the picker does not download every built-in family.

Can I write Kannada, Hindi or another language?

Use Unicode text and a font that supports the script. Built-in families cover many writing systems, but not every font covers every language. Preview conjuncts, vowel marks, punctuation and numbers before exporting.

Where can I find more stylish multilingual fonts?

Lipi, our companion font platform, provides Unicode font discovery, specimens and font tools. The typography guide links to Lipi and explains optional local font upload. Check each font's license for your intended use.

Can text follow a wave, arc or circle?

The Shape tab offers straight, angled, wave, arc and circle modes. Text remains editable. Short headings usually work better than paragraphs for strong bends; inspect joined scripts carefully at the final reading size.

How do I adjust gaps between words or letters?

Use the Spacing tab to change word gap, letter gap and line height separately. Frame width also affects wrapping. Avoid excessive tracking in joined scripts and check that marks do not collide between lines.

Which uploaded font formats work?

Upload TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 files up to 10 MB. The font becomes an embedded post asset. Apply the preview to assign it to a text layer, and verify the license permits embedding before sharing the editable post.

Photos, collages and drawing

How many collage layouts are available?

Kruti has thirty-six collage families, including grids, hero and corner-feature layouts, masonry, brick wall, center stage, orbit, fan, staircase, shaped frames and photo galleries. Previews use your actual photographs, and gap and padding refine the arrangement.

Will browsing collage layouts move all my layers?

Browsing is a draft until Apply. Only visible, unlocked image layers participate. Locked or hidden photos and non-image layers keep their placement. Cancel abandons the draft; Apply is one undoable change.

Can I reposition a photo inside its frame?

Start cropping the selected image, drag its content on the canvas, then confirm or cancel. Crop offsets, zoom, fit, flips and frame rotation control the result without replacing the original embedded photograph.

Can I change a photo's shape or appearance?

Image controls include shaped frames, corner radius, borders, cover or contain fit, and brightness, contrast, saturation and grayscale. Review important faces or product details after changing a frame or collage.

Can I draw or add a signature-style mark?

Draw creates editable freehand layers with stroke width, solid or gradient paints and optional fill. A completed stroke is one undo step. You can also use cards and geometric shapes for labels, information blocks or contrast behind text.

Saving, export and sharing

What is the difference between autosave and Saved posts?

Autosave records the current committed working post. Saved posts contains named snapshots in a local library. Saving the same design identity updates its library entry; generating a new background creates a fresh identity.

What does a .kruti file contain?

It preserves editable backgrounds and their generated geometry, text, photographs, cards, drawing points, dimensions and embedded uploaded fonts. It is the original to keep for later editing; PNG and JPEG are flattened outputs.

Can I move a post to another device?

Download its .kruti file and import it in Kruti on the other device. The current product does not synchronize a cloud account. Built-in remote fonts may need a network connection when reopening.

Why is an old or different design file rejected?

Import accepts validated .kruti posts using the current schema, up to 60 MB. Unsupported versions and other formats are rejected rather than silently migrated. An exported PNG or JPEG cannot restore the original layers.

Should I export PNG or JPEG?

PNG is lossless and is a useful choice for text-heavy graphics. JPEG uses compression and can suit photo-led artwork. Inspect the downloaded result at normal size, and keep a .kruti original for future corrections.

Does canvas zoom change export quality?

No. Export dimensions come from the canvas size multiplied by the export scale. Output is limited to 8192 pixels per side and 32 megapixels overall. Enlarging output cannot recover detail absent from a source photograph.

Can Kruti publish directly to Instagram or LinkedIn?

Kruti creates the image; it does not automatically publish to social platforms. Where supported, native sharing opens your device share sheet. Otherwise export the image and upload it with the destination app.

Storage, privacy and troubleshooting

Will clearing browser storage delete my work?

It can remove the current autosave and saved-post library. Private sessions and different browser profiles also have separate or temporary storage. Download important .kruti files somewhere independent of the browser.

Are my photos and designs uploaded to a Kruti cloud library?

The editor processes and stores the working post locally; it does not provide a cloud design library. External resources such as built-in remote fonts still make network requests, and sharing deliberately sends files through your chosen destination.

Why is a font or character missing?

The selected family may not cover that script, the device font may be absent, or a remote font may not have finished loading. Preview a script-appropriate family, check the connection for built-in remote fonts, or upload a suitable licensed font.

Why does a large photo collection or export fail?

Browsers and devices have memory limits. Kruti also bounds source-photo area and output dimensions. Reduce source-image sizes, simplify the composition or lower export scale, then retry without discarding your editable backup.

Can I use Kruti without an internet connection?

Do not assume every feature will work offline. Already available local assets may remain usable, but first loading the application, uncached remote fonts and external resources need a connection. Keep local editable backups.
