Bring in photographs you can use
Open Images and choose Add images from device to canvas for a direct upload. Use Browse saved images and logos to insert reusable library assets instead.
- Choose images you own or are licensed to use.
- Open Images and press Add images from device to canvas, then select PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or self-contained SVG files.
- For reusable assets, open Browse saved images and logos, upload to the library if needed, then press Insert image into project in Browse. SVG files become transparent PNG images.
- Select an inserted image to crop or adjust it. Switch the asset library to Manage for renaming, removal and kit membership.
Expected result: Images are placed proportionally without cropping or rearranging other artwork. Direct uploads add to the project in one undo step; library uploads only store reusable assets until you insert them.
Add photos from your device. Each image becomes an editable layer and an embedded post asset. Use your own photography or images whose license permits the intended use.
Choose a clear lead image before adding several supporting photos. More images are not always better: a small post can become unreadable when each picture is reduced too far.
Compare thirty-six collage families before applying
Open Images, choose Create collage, select at least two images and compare layouts before pressing Apply photo collage.
- Insert images, open Images and press Create collage.
- Check the images to include, or use Select all available images; at least two are required.
- Compare layout previews and adjust Spacing and Margin.
- Apply the layout, or Cancel collage to leave the canvas unchanged.
Expected result: Apply rearranges only selected, visible, unlocked images. Unselected images and other artwork are unchanged.
Thirty-six layouts include grids, hero and corner-feature arrangements, masonry, alternating rows and columns, brick wall, center stage, orbit, fan, staircase, square tiles, portrait and landscape galleries, plus shaped and overlapping frames.
Previews use your actual photos, not abstract placeholder boxes. Browsing is a draft: Apply commits one arrangement; leaving without applying keeps the previous frames. Gap and padding control breathing room. The isolated example uses the same collage controls and Apply action as the editor, with sample photos only.
Only visible, unlocked image layers participate. Locked photos, hidden photos and non-image content retain their existing placement. Keep text separate from the photo arrangement so a new layout does not rewrite the message.
Crop, fit and refine individual frames
Select a photo, start Crop and drag an edge or corner inward to trim the frame without resizing the photograph. Drag inside to reposition, then apply or cancel.
- Select the image layer and press Crop image on the canvas.
- Drag an edge or corner inward to trim; drag inside to place the subject, then apply or cancel the crop.
- Compare Cover with Contain, then refine Zoom and crop offsets if needed.
- Use the shape and appearance tabs to adjust the frame, border, brightness, contrast or saturation.
Expected result: The original photo asset stays intact while its frame and display settings change.
In Crop mode, edge and corner handles trim the frame while preserving the photograph scale. Outside Crop mode those handles resize the image normally. Drag inside the crop to reposition its content, then apply or cancel; the entire crop is one undo step. Rotation and flips are respected. Trimming stops at the image zoom limit.
Cover fills the frame and may crop edges. Contain preserves the whole image and may leave unused space. Image shapes, corner radius and borders change the frame without replacing the source photograph.
Brightness, contrast, saturation and grayscale affect the image appearance. Use restrained adjustments across a collage so neighboring photographs feel related.
Check detail, crop and memory limits
Use a source large enough for its exported frame and inspect a test export; increasing output scale cannot restore missing detail.
- Check the largest frame in the composition and choose a sufficiently detailed source.
- Apply the collage and inspect faces, product edges and important photo text.
- Export at the intended size and inspect the file at normal viewing size.
- If loading fails or memory is tight, use smaller sources or fewer photos and retry.
Expected result: The exported crop is usable at its actual destination, not merely sharp when viewed small in the editor.
Choose sources with enough pixels for their largest exported frame. A high export scale cannot invent sharp detail. Check faces, product edges and any important text after applying a collage.
Large collections consume browser memory. Kruti bounds the total decoded source-photo area to 80 megapixels and individual sources to 40 megapixels. Use smaller files when a device struggles, and remove images you no longer need in the composition.
