To change a layer fill, select the layer, open Fill, and choose Solid, Gradient or a texture. Shuffle changes only this paint.
Select a text, card or drawing layer and open Fill or its paint controls.
Choose Solid and a custom color, or choose Gradient and set both endpoint colors.
Choose a Texture and set Density, Texture size and base ink. Open Texture finish for Tonal contrast, Custom color or Cutout, then adjust Contrast or color and Strength.
Set Relief depth and Light angle for a raised surface. Switching finishes preserves edited values; None disables without deleting settings. Shuffle texture pattern changes only the marks.
Expected result: Only the selected paint changes. Your words, photos and background remain unchanged.
Backgrounds, text fills, cards and drawing paints share the same Solid and Gradient controls. Outlines, borders and shadows use the solid-color version. A custom color input remains available when you need an exact brand color.
The shuffle action randomizes only the paint beside it. Layer fills and drawing strokes can generate solid, gradient or seeded textured paints; borders, outlines and shadows stay solid. Texture controls include base ink, density and size. Procedural background colors do not offer layer texture fills, and changing a layer fill does not regenerate the background.
The horizontal suggestion strip creates more colors as you scroll. Browsing does not apply a color or add history entries. Choose a swatch to apply it; the strip retains only a bounded visible window rather than an ever-growing collection.
Numeric property controls have their own shuffle action, bounded by the displayed minimum, maximum and step. Each action changes only its setting and can be undone. Use modest values when readability, cropping or safe margins matter.
In Appearance > Colors, select a palette swatch before editing it. Add and Remove color change the palette size.
Select the background and open Colors.
Select a palette swatch, then choose its exact color or a suggestion.
Use Add color or Remove selected color for a non-solid background.
Enable Keep colors when generating before comparing new background arrangements.
Expected result: The selected background uses the edited palette; the color lock preserves it during generation.
A background palette is not restricted to a fixed number of colors. Select a palette entry to edit it, add entries when the composition needs more variety, or remove entries to simplify it. At least one color remains.
Background gradients use all selected colors as evenly spaced stops. The shared Gradient choice updates the first and last colors while retaining intermediate stops. Text, card and drawing gradients use two endpoints, an angle and editable transition positions.
Keep colors when generating is independent of Randomize settings. You can hold a brand palette steady while exploring fresh shapes, or keep the shape settings and explore new palettes.
Improve text contrast by changing the text fill, reducing background detail or placing a plain card behind the words.
Fit the page and check the smallest important words.
Choose a dark fill over a light area, or a light fill over a dark area.
If the pattern still competes, lower its opacity or send a plain card behind the text.
Export a test and inspect it at the intended reading size.
Expected result: The message remains readable without relying on heavy outlines or shadows.
Use strong foreground/background contrast for the main message. When several patterns overlap, reduce the upper layers' opacity or place a plain card beneath the text.
A palette can contain many colors without using all of them in the headline. Reserve one accent for the action or most important detail, then inspect the image at the size it will actually be read.
